The Employee Spotlight is a new campaign that profiles some of the great people that work for our company.
I have worked as a Project Manager for PTC Construction for nearly two years. Our team is responsible for the coordination of all design and build projects for the various PGF companies. I work with a small and talented group of people who collaborate daily to handle projects across Western Canada. My responsibilities include tasks as small as maintenance on existing grain bins to large projects like brand new state-of-the-art grain terminals and fertilizer facilities.
I’ve found the PGF environment to be inclusive, friendly and educational. I get to work with a great group of people who are always willing to help out when needed. Even though PGF is a large company, at it’s core, it remains a private family business that really understands the needs of balancing family and work.
My favourite part of my job is the learning challenge it provides me on a daily basis. I have had the opportunity to take on new projects with limited experience, giving me the motivation necessary to develop and expand my skill set. I’ve worked as a Project Manager for 10+ years now. I love the work and find the skills transferable across numerous industries. Working for the PTC group has given me the opportunity to manage amazing construction projects and work with a group of people I really enjoy.
Outside of work, I’m a mom to one cute little toddler who tests all the skills I’ve learned to date. Along with being an avid gardener, I enjoy home renovations, swimming, running, and recreational sports.
